Recycling your old electricals is easy!
Recycle your electrical and electronic devices free at your local recycling centre. To find your nearest centre, visit the Recycle More website and type in your postcode.
Why recycle?
Unwanted electrical equipment is the UK’s fastest growing type of waste. Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If you do not recycle electrical equipment will end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination – harming wildlife and also human health.
We’re proud to support your local authority in providing local recycling facilities for electrical equipment.
To remind you that old electrical equipment can be recycled, it is now marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol. Please do not throw any electrical equipment (including those marked with this symbol) in your bin.
What is WEEE?
The Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires countries to maximise separate collection and environmentally friendly processing of these items.
How are we helping?
In the UK, distributors including retailers must provide a system which allows all customers buying new electrical equipment the opportunity to recycle their old items free of charge. As a responsible retailer, we have met the requirements placed on us by financially supporting the national network of WEEE recycling centres established by local authorities. This is achieved through membership of the national Distributor Take-back scheme (DTS).

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) is taken back free of charge on a one-for-one, like-for-like basis. Waste batteries including rechargeable batteries are taken back free of charge. You are not obliged to make any purchase when returning old batteries. Each local authority must also accept household WEEE and small batteries free of charge at its recycling facilities. All WEEE and waste batteries must be recycled and should not be placed in any of your household wheelie bins. Make sure you always recycle all your old electrical goods and batteries.

Elektrisk og elektronisk udstyr (EEE) indeholder materialer, komponenter og stoffer, der kan være farlige og skadelige for menneskers sundhed og for miljøet, når affaldet af elektrisk og elektronisk udstyr (WEEE) ikke bortskaffes korrekt.
Produkter, der er mærket med nedenstående overkrydsede skraldespand', er elektrisk og elektronisk udstyr. Den krydsede skraldespand symboliserer, at affald af elektrisk og elektronisk udstyr ikke må bortskaffes sammen med usorteret husholdningsaffald, men skal indsamles særskilt.
Til dette formål har alle kommuner etableret indsamlingsordninger, hvor affald af elektrisk og elektronisk udstyr gratis kan afleveres af borgerne på genbrugsstationer eller andre indsamlingssteder eller hentes direkte fra husholdningerne. Nærmere information skal indhentes hos kommunens tekniske forvaltning.
Brugere af elektrisk og elektronisk udstyr må ikke bortskaffe affald af elektrisk og elektronisk udstyr sammen med husholdningsaffald. Brugere skal benytte de kommunale indsamlingsordninger for at mindske den miljømæssige belastning i forbindelse med bortskaffelse af affald af elektrisk og elektronisk udstyr og øge mulighederne for genbrug, genanvendelse og nyttiggørelse af affald af elektrisk og elektronisk udstyr.

Directive relative aux déchets d’équipements électriques et électroniques (DEEE) et directive relative aux batteries
Les Smart Pods BAL.ON contiennent une batterie au lithium-ion. Le symbole DEEE indique que seuls les recycleurs qualifiés ou les manutentionnaires de matières dangereuses sont autorisés à éliminer le produit lorsqu’il atteint la fin de sa durée de vie. Cette batterie doit être séparée des flux de déchets solides.
AVERTISSEMENT : une mise au rebut inappropriée peut entraîner un incendie, une explosion et/ou d’autres dangers. En recyclant notre produit et en collectant séparément ses accessoires électriques et sa batterie, vous contribuerez à préserver les ressources naturelles et l’environnement, ainsi qu’à protéger la santé humaine.

Los Smart Pods de BAL.ON contienen una batería de iones de litio. El símbolo RAEE establece que solo recicladores calificados o manipuladores de materiales peligrosos pueden desechar el producto cuando su vida útil llegue a su fin. Esta batería no debe mezclarse con el flujo de desechos sólidos.
