BAL.ON insights from top golf players
The choice of champions
Right from BAL.ON’s first steps into the golfing world, we have been in close contact with PGA professionals, tour pros, and other top golf players. Their feedback has made BAL.ON the versatile training tool it is today, with a variety of prominent use-cases in practice and play.
Testament to our engagement are our global brand ambassadors: LPGA Tour Pro Esther Henseleit and DP World Tour Players Alex Fitzpatrick and Matti Schmid. They represent what BAL.ON stands for: a continuous drive for improvement, finding the very own perfect swing, and inspiring golfers around the globe.
Esther Henseleit, LPGA Player, Olympic silver medalist 2024
Esther played most of her amateur career for the Hamburger Golf-Club, one of Germany’s leading women’s teams. In her first season on tour, with a maiden win at the Magical Kenya Ladies Open, she won “Rookie of the Year” honors, an accolade no lady from Germany has accomplished before. A year after, in 2022, she defended her title at the same tournament. Like Matti, Esther was part of the Golf Team Germany line-up 2024 and won an Olympic silver medal, the first European woman athlete to do so.
"BAL.ON is great for showing me how I’m using the ground and how I can be more efficient, helping me gain speed and consistency, especially off the tee. It’s also been a great addition to my short game practice, understanding how my pressure points influence trajectory, spin, and feel."
Matti Schmid, DP World Tour Player
Matti went to play college golf at the University of Louisville, Kentucky, before turning pro in 2021. In March 2022, he finished tied third at the Steyn City Championship in South Africa, as well as ranking eighth place at the Barbasol Championship, Kentucky, and ninth-place at the Cazoo Open in Wales.
“For me personally, it is key to record benchmark data on how I move. Thus, I have something to compare against when the swing feels a bit off. Now, with the BAL.ON Smart Kit, being able to do this on the go, on tournament practice days or even during warm-up, is a complete game changer!”
Alex Fitzpatrick, DP World Tour Player
Originally from Sheffield in England, Alex went to Wake Forest College in the USA. Already in 2023, his first full year as a professional, he raked in a remarkable 17th place in his first Major Championship at Royal Liverpool, a second-place finish at the ISPS Handa World Invitational on the DP World Tour, and a maiden professional victory at the British Challenge on the Challenge Tour. Alex has completed six top-20 finishes so far in the 2024 season on the DP World Tour and is featured in Netflix’s “Full Swing” Season 2.
"Tremendous piece of technology and something golfers can use in every part of their game. I specifically use the BAL.ON Smart Kit to make sure I am properly rotating on iron shots and in my short game. Something I need to always monitor, and having a tool now to check this wherever I am is an absolute game-changer. It helps me stay on track."
